When Real Handful got in touch with us to introduce their snacks, Sales Director Nick Helliwell took a look at what they do and was instantly hooked by their messaging around craft baked nuts, Hi-oleic peanuts and  ambitions to revolutionise the healthy snack market! This came at a time when Saltaire Brewery had just launched our first, low alcohol beer Northern Light. An alternative offering to beer drinkers which gives the same great taste, but with a twist. An idea started brewing with Nick - “Nuts and beer are the perfect combo and is something that can give people real enjoyment. By offering healthy nuts and low alcohol beer together, we can enrich that experience while introducing people to something new.”

The conversation continued with Real Handful Co-Founder Joe Taylor,. “Although Real Handful launched in 2016, the savoury snack market is still quite new to us. When conversations started to progress with Saltaire Brewery, we felt we had a lot in common in our approaches to customers, quality and our products. We can see how working together we can harness our strengths and give people something new, exciting, and ultimately a healthier alternative to the usual beer and snack combo. We also love the fact that we’re both Northern based businesses, supporting each other through what has been a challenging period for many.”
